The role is to fill under LBC Tech, a subsidiary of the Laurentian Bank Financial Group. The incumbent is responsible for the daily administration and processing in support of Banking Administration, in accordance with Laurentian Bank of Canada's standards, policies, procedures and established SLA's. The incumbent will be expected to support or answer internal/external partners' inquiries, regarding the products administered within the department, while providing a consistent level of superior customer service as well as providing subject matter expertise for department projects and initiatives. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining and updating reports,

 

Responsibilities :

º Analyzes, documents, and accurately executes routine self-directed mutual fund transactions using various computer systems, within set parameters and timelines. º Ensures that set standards for processing, client services, documentation and execution of routine transactions are met at all times. º Prioritizes and schedules transaction processing, working within the accepted industry and department established time frames, while adhering to internal audit standards. º Administers and processes product specific financial or non-financial transactions, according to Laurentian Bank's standards, policies, and procedures. º Researches, prepares, processes, balances, reconciles, and ensures quality control of all financial and non-financial transactions for clients. º Monitors the incoming documents queue to ensure processing according to Laurentian Bank's service standards. º Maintains client files, ensures efficiency in retrieving documents, and archives closed files for easy accessibility. º Researches and answers inquiries from internal and external partners, such as Customer Services or financial advisors, Fundo co.'s regarding products and processing issues. º Escalates and makes recommendations to the appropriate authority about any inquiries or issues that are beyond their scope. º Verifies own work and the work of fellow Administration Officers in the department, for accuracy, clarity, and completeness, and ensures compliance with internal and external audit and regulatory requirements. º Completes daily workload within timeframes set by Laurentian Bank and addresses any issues with the direct manager. º Participates in department meetings and contributes to the planning process of achieving departmental and personal goals, as well as communicates any problems or concerns. º Submits recommendations to improve work processes to direct manager. º Keeps abreast of legislation, policies, and procedures, which relate to products and services. º Participates in special projects and carries out any other similar or general task at the request of their direct people manager or that may be required by their function. º Accurately executes mutual fund trades within set parameters and timelines. º Maintains excellent working relationships with internal and external partners. º Verifies own work and work of team members in the department for accuracy, clarity, and completeness, and ensures compliance with internal and external audit and regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications :

º Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or in a related field. º Bilingual (French/English) verbal and written communication skills are mandatory. º 2 to 3 years of work experience within a regulated dealer operations or bank operations department in an administration or processing role. º Completion of Investment Funds of Canada (IFIC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset. º Knowledge of banking, mortgage, investment loan, self-directed, securities, mutual funds, lending products.and other lending products. º Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. º Must possess intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook is a must. º Familiarity with using large and complex financial database systems; ability to learn inquiry and maintenance functions in back office processing systems. º Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written. º Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate information effectively. º Able to work in a high volume, multitasking environment with extremely demanding time frames. º Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills. º Highly motivated with a desire to succeed and progress. º Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team. º Completion of Investment Funds of Canada (IFIC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is preferred. º Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen Principles, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset. º Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.
