Job Title: Business Development Manager


 

Reporting to: Station Manager and/or approved designate


 

Responsible for: All Business Development in Canada


 

Main Location: Location: Toronto, Canada but the post-holder will be required to travel as appropriate for the satisfactory performance of their duties and responsibilities.


 

Normal Hours: Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, excluding a 30-minute break, to be worked between the hours of 9am – 5:30pm.

Additional hours may be required to meet the demands of the business.


 

Overview of the Main Function of the Post:


 

Responsible for the strategic growth, direction and overall profitability of the sales performance as well as building and developing an extensive client base. Working closely with the Station Manager, wider sales teams and interfacing with the operational teams in Canada and the US.


 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


 

  • Create and manage partnerships with multi-channel retailers sending product into International markets
  • Build relationships with prospects by gaining an insight into their businesses which will enable you to provide delivery solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of all features, integration plans and shipping portfolio
  • Complete and update all activity in our company CRM
  • Consistently meet or exceed all GP KPI's set by the company
  • Be receptive to changing trends in the e-commerce and freight Industry space and offer strategic direction to increase market share.
  • Design and implement bespoke International Solutions for clients
  • Create innovative and entrepreneurial solutions, maximising efficiency of the Aramex network.
  • Take responsibility for prospecting and lead generation
  • Preparation, submission and follow up on customer quotations
  • Assist in preparing and deliering tenders where required
  • Constantly seek out new revenue generating opportunities

 

Key Experience & Other Requirements:


 

  • Experience of selling in the Logistics and e-Commerce sectors.
  • Experience of selling in the freight forwarding industry would be beneficial
  • Entrepreneurial outlook
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing International Solutions operationally
  • Ability to build and maintain business relationships
  • Strong sales skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of operational resource
  • Experience in selling and designing bespoke delivery services for clients
