The Opportunity:

Reporting to the VP/Director - Strategic Business Development, the Market Leader is a technical and sales leader of the commercial team driving their Market. You are joining a growth-oriented company and are responsible for building a highly productive sales pipeline that can meet and exceed revenue and margin expectations, including the needs of our existing and new clients. You are accountable for driving BluMetric Environmental Inc. Corporate sales and marketing initiatives through the Commercial and Industrial Market. Duties include profitability, growth, and retention of Clients. This position requires a strong, principle centered leader. You plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the sales activities associated with your Market. Responsibilities will also include planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall sales and marketing initiatives for the Commercial and Industrial Market in accordance with company policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines and regulations.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales opportunities and volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies, plan budgets, and authorize expenditures.
  • Model and champion BluMetric Environmental Inc. values, with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement sales initiatives that include business and customer development in their Market.
  • Attain budgeted revenue expectations. Assure the profitability of the Market is met.
  • Work with the team supporting the Corporate or Market specific initiatives. Lead, coach, and motivate team to achieve established goals.
  • Set sales expectations for BluMetric Environmental Inc.'s for their Market.
  • Measure the activities within their Market to assure that their Sales activities will produce intended sales production.
  • Implement and execute the company's marketing strategy and business plans.
  • Work in concert with other department and business segment leaders to assure congruence with sales operations, representing the voice of the Market, the customer and the interests of the team.
  • Plan, direct and evaluate the activities of Sales initiatives in relevant market and regions.
  • Provide leadership for employee growth through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
  • Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine Market progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Complete monthly formal reports of all Market performance.
  • Confer with Director – Strategic Business Development to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  • Develop, review, update and implement business strategic planning including sales, financial performance, and new service development.

Qualifications, Education, and Skills:

  • A university degree in a relevant technical discipline, certification in business administration is an asset.
  • A broad range of functional knowledge in their Market particularly with respect to the sales and marketing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including 5 years of sales experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years management experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing sales strategy and sales plans linking to the business plan with knowledge of national and international markets.
  • Strong working knowledge of motivation, training, appraisal, and general supervisory skills.
  • Leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff required.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and clients.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Ability to attend in person client and team meetings.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Travel will be required.
