Job Description

As Manager of Business Development and Marketing, you will be responsible for leading all Business Development and Marketing strategy and activities across North America and will become an important part of our team. You will be responsible for developing and researching target markets, pursuit strategies, identification of project opportunities, building relationships within various sectors and regions, and training and developing the Business Development and Marketing Team.

 

Manager of Business Development & Marketing Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides input into the execution of the firm’s overall Business Development and Marketing strategies as well as for all regions and sector teams
  • Manages all seller/doer teams for the entire firm and participates in Business Development meetings as required
  • Actively monitor and manage current leads, pursuits and market opportunities
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the firm's project portfolio and services offered
  • Helps to set, monitor and review Business Development and Marketing KPI's
  • Identifies potential project and client opportunities, including active market research
  • Helps develop and monitor business development budgets and marketing budgets office-wide
  • Provide active coaching to the Business Development and Marketing teams
  • Maintain and develop target client account relationships
  • Oversees CRM (Hubspot) system and entire sales pipeline including proposals submitted
  • Manages firm-wide branding and alignment of the execution of all internal and external promotional materials/activities
  • Manages the firm’s digital marketing strategy and content production
  • Manages firm’s public relations and outreach efforts
  • Manages company-wide conferences and events
  • Helps to lead the development of internal communication efforts firm-wide such as the newsletter
  • Manages the overall company award submission program

 

 

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in a related role
  • University degree in marketing, communications, English or another related field, or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of proven managerial skillsets in leading similar teams
  • Sound knowledge of commercial, economic and business issues relating to the vertical infrastructure industry in general and in local target markets.
  • Proven experience developing and growing client account relationships with customers, potential customers and industry partners
  • Ability to develop insightful value propositions and add competitive value to submitted proposals
  • Proven planning, analytical, communication, organizational and project management skills
  • In-depth experience of digital marketing and how to leverage each digital stream successfully
  • Proven experience in winning work within the A/E/C industry
  • Ability to successfully develop and roll-out proposal and marketing procedures, work processes, and tools, along with evidence of past successful management of marketing and communication deliverables
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (oral, written, presentations)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); graphic experience and an eye for current trends in design considered an asset
