Location: Edmonton Contact Centre, In-office

When you think of the very best customer experience you’ve ever had, you can’t help but wonder, “How would I have done it even better?”. Yup, you’re hardwired to provide the very best possible customer experience – helping people isn’t just important to you, but it excites you and drives your passion.

At the Alberta Motor Association (AMA), we’re looking for a great Customer Service Representative (CSR) to work on the Alberta Impaired Driver’s Program. This role is responsible to register and provide support to clients of the Alberta Impaired Drivers Program – an educational program for convicted impaired drivers. If you love delivering great customer service and have the special ability to talk to people about a particularly sensitive subject in a non-judgmental and understanding way, we want to talk to you!

WHAT MOVES YOU

  • You know how to maintain the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism.
  • You have a knack for explaining things in a way that puts people at ease while making it easy for them to understand.
  • You “get” what it means to provide exceptional customer service.
  • You’re empathetic, an excellent communicator and know how to professionally manage difficult calls or sensitive situations.
  • Prioritizing, planning and organizing are part of your DNA.
  • You possess strong telephone and interpersonal skills…you can talk to anyone!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Report to the AIDP Program Manager.
  • Process client and program information in the registration system (CRM), including payment, pre-& post program communication.
  • Take calls from convicted impaired drivers and help them register for the appropriate impaired driving course.
  • Appreciating the sensitivity of the caller’s situation, you’ll respond to a variety of impaired driving program related questions from course registrants.
  • Gather materials for the Planning Ahead and Impact courses and send to the appropriate facility.
  • Assist with coordination of annual AIDP Workshop.
  • As part of the AIDP team, you will constantly look for ways to improve the delivery of service to course registrants.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • You already have three years of relevant customer service experience, preferably in a contact centre environment.
  • You’re able to clear a criminal record check (PIC) every 5 years.
  • You know your way around MS Office, ideally have experience with the Motor Vehicle Enforcement System and have demonstrated the ability to learn new systems.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

  • Competitive salary.
  • Flexible benefits.
  • Outstanding employer-paid Pension Plan.
  • Great AMA discounts.
  • Unlimited learning opportunities.
  • Paid floater day.

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
