Position Description


 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations, the Customer Service Representative (Supply Chain) position will play a critical role in servicing the Supply Chain Front Desk Activities.

This role is accountable for providing excellent customer service of critical items to all departments in support of the children at SickKids Hospital. The primary functions will include to action STAT calls, provide information and supplies, having client orders ready for pickup and assume responsibility for all aspects of customer service.

As a member of the Materials Management Team, you will be responsible for the provision of superior customer service to our internal and external customers.

Here’s What You Get to Do:

  • Address requests from end-users (requests via phone calls, emails, fax, etc)
  • Fulfill Requests from Home Care, Thalassemia and Hemophilia programs.
  • Maintain timely communications with customers
  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails and messages
  • Prioritize and ensure timely completion of customer requirements
  • Enter, pick and confirm orders
  • Organize and maintain filing system.
  • Confirming manual and system generated orders
  • Creating Express Issues
  • Cancel Stock requests
  • System maintenance
  • Support activities that are part of Supply Cart Review, Redesign and Maintenance

Here’s What You Need:

  • Minimum of grade 12 education
  • Ability to work in a fast paced physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong customer service commitment with an attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to change along with your flexibility and problem-solving skills will be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (word and excel) is an asset.
  • Previous experience working with PeopleSoft and familiarity with Store’s operation processes is an asset.
