The Customer Services Specialist I will provide support to the Dining Hall at Georgia State University. This position may be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibilities in order to provide both back-up for a department as well as to supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.

Specific Job Duties:

• Accurately and efficiently utilizes POS systems and maintains all cash and media at the registers.
• Communicates customer request to management.
• Maintains awareness of daily menu items and knowledge of meal plans.
• Attentive to guest needs.
• Counts and reconciles funds during shifts to ensure adequate funds.
• Restocks assigned supplies and brochures.
• Accurately records patron counts.
• Maintains neat appearance at the registers and in the front of house areas.
• Keeps beverage machines, napkins holders, silverware, plates, bowls, and cups filled and maintained.
• Helps keep table and service areas clean.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Greets and acknowledges customers, maintains outstanding solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service, administrative, or office experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

• Previous cash handling experience.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Physical Requirements: Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
• Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
• Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
