Essential Functions:

  • Serves as the first point of contact for IT support.
  • Sets up and maintains helpdesk incident tracking and computer maintenance database. Uses the database to build and maintain a knowledgebase for frequently asked questions.
  • Performs the scheduled maintenance on all personal computers and related network equipment, ensures all are cleaned and inspected on a regular basis consistent with each particular application.
  • Installs new computers, adds necessary memory, peripheral devices and network cards, and configures to optimize performance. Installs appropriate user programs.
  • Performs other special projects related to the company computer system such as documentation related to users reviews, phone directories and pc/asset lists.
  • Assists the System Administrator with various computer system projects to include the installation of new programs.
  • Keeps abreast of current developments in the computer industry through industry related periodicals and seminars.
  • Provides daily support on all computer hardware and software.

 


  • Document and monitor internal key controls for compliance with applicable processes, laws and regulations.

 


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Graduation from high school plus two years of technical/college level course work in computer science or related field. A+ Certification preferred but not required. Zero to one year of experience in the field or in a related area.

 


Experience and Skills Required:

  • At least one year of recent experience which provides the following skills and abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of personal computer networks.
  • Ability to set-up Windows workstations to run both network and stand-alone software.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and have good public relations skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
