Junior Supply Chain Associate – Customer Care (12 Months)

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for root causing and providing a detailed action plan to solve and reduce shortage liability on top retailers. The expectation is to highlight drivers and consolidate actions to drive change, leading to improvement in the E2E supply chain and reduction of claims, by means of partnering with the appropriate internal and external business teams. In addition, this role will be responsible for mapping the end-to-end processes that result in shortage deductions with the outcome of identifying, evaluation, and providing process improvement needs.


This Analyst would be responsible for the following:
  • Interact and collaborate with multi-functional internal teams to improve all aspects of the order to cash process that result in shortage deductions.
  • Drive and lead root cause investigations to find process improvements to reduce shortage type deductions
  • Interact and collaborate with external partners to improve processes to reduce/eliminate customer shortage deductions

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Candidates must have received a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months OR must have graduated with a Master’s degree within the last 12 months with no gap more than 5 months in education history. Degree in Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or other quantitative business discipline preferred.
  • 0 to 2 years of supply chain experience in or exposure to Supply Chain
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, data software
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required
  • Ability to present data to upper management in an organized and persuasive manner
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
  • Ability to achieve results
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Understanding when issues need to be escalated and provide summarized information to suggest/enable decisions

TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research shortage deductions from top retailers, providing root cause and appropriate actions for resolution
  • Lead collaborative initiatives to identify root causes and implement preventive measures to reduce/eliminate shortage deductions
  • Analyze trends in shortage deductions on the A/R in order to reduce and implement permanent resolutions
  • Prepare weekly status reports for Management
  • Prepare professional quality emails and spreadsheets for communicating with key internal and external teams on the status shortage findings
  • Analyze retailer item level data and receipt processes to identify potential gaps resulting in shortage deductions
  • Build relationships with Customer Supply Chain teams to better understand their retailer and collaborate on the action plans for shortage reduction
  • Communicate effectively with multi-functional account teams
