As a Lead Customer Service Representative (Lead CSR), you will support the Customer Service Representatives in their day-to-day functions. You will provide training and coaching in cash handling, passes, admissions and registrations using the recreation software system. You will oversee and provide customer service support through various systems such as 311 service requests, live and play email and will be the contact for customer account discrepancies. Primary duties include:

  • Delegate work while on shift, support operations and act as the onsite/on shift contact for staff, security guards and other stakeholders.
  • Perform administrative tasks including but not limited to ordering supplies and materials, inputting staff hours, support 311 service requests and live and play email, inputting booking information into the software system.
  • Financial Tasks such as preparing cash deposits and pick-ups as scheduled, preparing delegating and reviewing cash summary reports.
  • Provide support with petty cash, cash and check handling audits and processes.
  • Provide coverage/perform the work of the Customer Service Representative including but not limited to selling admissions, passes and taking registrations, supporting on site bookings, providing information on facility and programs.
 
Qualifications
  • A completed High School diploma and at least 1 job related coursework (Bookkeeping/Accounting, Office Administration) plus at least 3 years related experience that includes high volume customer service, cash handling and use of registration software; OR
  • A completed 1 year certificate in a related field and at least 1 year of related experience.
  • Cash handling experience is required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) is required.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills with elevated customer concerns which demonstrate tact and courtesy when dealing with the public.
  • Effective communication skills and well developed decision making skills.
 
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a busy recreation facility with potential exposure to upset patrons.

  • A security clearance will be conducted.

Compensation: Pay Grade 6 $30.69 - 41.04 per hour
