OVERVIEW:

Alberta Blue Cross has several temporary full time opportunities for customer centric individuals to join our Travel team. As a travel specialist, you will focus on customer experience and strong relationship building in a contact centre environment. You will educate and promote our travel insurance plans over the phone and online. Successful candidates must be passionate about consistently providing exceptional customer experience and be goal and target driven in sales.

In this Work From Home position, you will manage inbound and outbound calls. Our contact centre is open from Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:00 pm. Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) licensing is required, and training is fully paid by Alberta Blue Cross®.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Sales and promotion of various travel insurance plans
  • Effectively manage inbound and outbound calls with daily follow up with potential clients that have expressed interest in our products
  • Create a positive first impression, foster trust and establish credibility by assessing customer needs and providing appropriate product knowledge
  • Maintain an outstanding customer experience in all customer interactions
  • Meet personal and team sales targets

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must have experience in a sales/customer service-related role; in the travel industry would be an asset
  • Proven track record of sales performance and meeting assigned metrics, ideally within in a contact-centre environment
  • A strong desire to succeed driven by individual results and investment in the success of the team
  • Have or obtaining an Accident & Sickness and Life License by successfully completing the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and subsequent exams. Preference will be given to those candidates that have already completed the LLQP process
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Excellent listening and communication skills focused on building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Positive attitude and productive, professional, and courteous manner
  • Outstanding time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Highly proficient in using a variety of computer applications
  • Thrives in a busy environment and can work under pressure while maintaining composure and professionalism
