Job Description
 
What you'll be doing
Assist the Executive Trust Officer with the administration of a portfolio including:
  • Accurately opening New Accounts, including preparing initial letters to third parties as requested.
  • Assist with the preparation of Asset & Liability statements/Record of Trust, client accounting, collection of fees and other related duties depending on the type of account;
  • Ensure all account information on internal systems is up-to-date, complete, and accurate. Maintain dairies to ensure fixed remittances are processed in a timely manner
  • Daily prepare cheques, wires and deposits for client accounts as well as process other account transactions
  • Asset Collection/Consolidation/Reconciliation/Maintenance, including collecting of cash assets upon receipt of the Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee as requested; in-kind asset transfers (Internally and externally); cash control by minimizing overdrafts in coordination with administrator and Investment Management; updating adjusted cost bases (ACBs) on accounts; and updating or arranging for update of values of Miscellaneous Assets
  • Understand and follow all CIBC processes and policies as required

  • Client engagement - Develop and maintain professional client relationships. Interact regularly with Clients, Beneficiaries, Lawyers, Accountants, and Financial Planners to discuss account administration.
  • Collaboration/Projects - Preliminary research for inquiries received; Investigations and participating in intra and inter-departmental meetings as requested; Participation on committees is encouraged. Annual Projects including preparing QI Documents for signature of the Executive Trust Officer; Preparing Annual Review Packages for files; Updating CLIPs; ensuring AML documentation in file and on TOPS;
